Institute for Culture and Society (ICS), University of Navarra
The Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) is a social sciences research centre at the University of Navarra. Founded in 2010, its mission is to conduct research addressing the major challenges currently facing humanity. These global challenges include living together in a plural world, preserving cultural and social legacies for future generations, promoting individual well-being, fostering human relationships and development, and exploring the intersection between technology and creativity.
The work of ICS is structured around three core pillars. First, interdisciplinarity, reflected in the composition of its research teams, the activities it undertakes and its overall research strategy. Second, internationalisation, as ICS brings together researchers from a wide range of scientific and cultural backgrounds. This diversity of perspectives enriches research outcomes and enables the development of solutions with global relevance. Third, social impact, as ICS seeks to produce research that contributes to the common good, inspired by societal needs. Through active dialogue with a broad range of social stakeholders, the Institute aims to ensure that its projects generate tangible benefits for society. ICS is composed of 83 researchers representing 17 academic disciplines and 19 nationalities, and collaborates with 181 international partners.
ICS will be responsible for organising the conference and coordinating the various committees involved.
