XXI ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE SPANISH ASSOCIATION FOR ENERGY ECONOMICS
“Sustainable Energy Development: Socio-economic, Environmental and Geopolitical Implications”
Pamplona, 27–29 May 2026

The Spanish Association for Energy Economics (AEEE) is pleased to announce its 21st Annual Conference, which will take place on 27, 28 and 29 May 2026 in Pamplona (Navarra, Spain). The conference is co-organised by the University of Navarra and the Public University of Navarra (UPNA) and will serve as a new leading academic and professional forum for discussion and exchange in the field of Energy Economics in Spain.
The AEEE is the Spanish chapter of the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE). Among its main activities, it organizes its annual conference aimed at fostering knowledge exchange and rigorous debate in Energy Economics. The AEEE Conference seeks to strengthen links between academia, regulators and industry around key issues related to energy, the environment and climate change. In its twenty-first edition, the conference will be held under the theme “Sustainable Energy Development: Socio-economic, Environmental and Geopolitical Implications”, with the aim of analysing today’s major challenges from an economic and regulatory perspective.
The scientific programme will combine academic paper presentations in parallel sessions, short sessions, research project presentations, as well as keynote lectures and roundtables featuring leading representatives from academia, industry, public institutions and civil society. Confirmed keynote speakers include Monica Giulietti (University of Nottingham) and Peter R. Hartley (Rice University).

The submission period will be open from January 16 to March 4, 2026, with notification of acceptance expected on April 4, 2026. The last day of registration will be May 6, 2026.
