XIX CONFERENCE OF THE SPANISH ASSOCIATION FOR ENERGY ECONOMICS<\/strong><\/h2>

\u201cThe energy transition from an economic perspective\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>

There are three modalities for participation in the congress: Papers, Flash sessions and Presentation of Research Projects<\/p>\n

All submissions will be made through the platform for submissions.<\/a> The deadline to submit proposals is March 8, 2024<\/p>\n<\/div>

a) Communications:<\/strong><\/h3>

The Scientific Committee and the Organizing Committee invite researchers in the area of Energy Economics to send their original work (theoretical and\/or empirical) to the XIX Congress of the AEEE.<\/p>\n

The complete work or a synthetic version of it is required (with the same structure and a length of no less than 700 words). After evaluation, the scientific committee will communicate which works have been selected for presentation in the parallel sessions. <\/p>\n

To register in the congress, you will be asked to register join as member of the Association, since it is a requirement to be a member of the Association to present papers.<\/p>\n

Each accepted communication must be defended by one of the authors. Submissions will be sent through the communications platform.<\/p>\n

The communications submitted must respect a standard structure: introduction, methodology, results and conclusions. The first page must contain the following information: name, affiliation and email address of the author and co-authors, title of the work, abstract of no more than 100 words, 3 JEL codes, and a maximum of 5 keywords. It will consist of a single file in PDF format, with a maximum size of 2MB, E. <\/p>\n

Proposals will be subject to an evaluation process by the Scientific Committee. Decisions will be communicated to the contact author on April, 2, 2024.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Selection of works for \u201cPapeles de Energ\u00eda\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>

The journal \u201cPapeles de Energ\u00eda\u201d, published by FUNCAS, aims to contribute to the dissemination among non-academic sectors of the society of the main challenges and solutions for the energy transition, both in Spain and globally. <\/p>\n

On the occasion of the AEEE annual congress, \u201cPapeles de Energ\u00eda\u201d announces a special issue that will be made up of three works selected by the editor of the journal. These contributions must analyze, in an informative as well as rigorous manner, aspects related to the energy transition. Each of these works will receive 300 euros gross for their contribution to the magazine. Likewise, authors must be willing to make the editorial modifications (always minor) indicated by the editor of the journal.<\/p>\n

Participants who wish to apply, must select this option during the registration process for the Conference.<\/p>\n<\/div>

a) Flash sessions:<\/strong><\/h3>

Researchers who wish to give visibility to preliminary studies can request to participate in a Flash Session. In this session, the general idea and the main results of the research will be presented to the entire congress audience, in no longer than 5 minutes. No format is required, although it is suggested to present between 1 and 3 slides (excluding title page). The presentation will be done orally with the projection in the background.<\/p>\n

The submission will be made through the platform for submissions, it will consist of a single file in PDF format, with a maximum size of 2MB. <\/p>\n

Proposals will be subject to an evaluation process by the Scientific Committee. Only registered participants will be able to present their posters at the Conference. Decisions will be communicated to the contact author on April, 2, 2024.<\/p>\n<\/div>

b) Presentation of Research Projects:<\/strong><\/h3>

If you are participating in a Research Project related to the topic of the congress and if you wish to present its results or simply to explain what your group is working on and how you proceed, or look for possible collaborations, you can request to present this project in the Session on research projects.<\/p>\n

To do this, you have to send a page with the following information: name of the Project, financing entity, Coordinator-Principal Investigator of the same, affiliation, email address of the person sending it, and a summary – of no more than 500 words – describing the project as well as the possibility of having possible collaborations with other researchers. The submission will consist of a single file in .pdf format. <\/p>\n

The proposals will be subject to an evaluation process by the Scientific Committee. To present in this session, it is necessary to register as a participant in the Congress. Decisions will be communicated to the contact author on April, 2, 2024.<\/p>\n

Participants are encouraged to present the project, highlighting its main objectives and development phases.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Sponsor Young Researchers Awards \u201cRed El\u00e9ctrica\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>

As in previous editions, Red El\u00e9ctrica sponsors the AEEE awards to young researchers with the aim of encouraging the participation of young researchers. Applicants should be authors who are 35 years old or younger on December 31, 2024 (co-authors are not required to meet the age requirements). Students in the following situations are NOT ALLOWED TO APPLY: winners from past editions, winners of the award for the best Final Degree Projects\/Master’s Final Projects\/Doctoral Thesis Chapter awarded by the AEEE of the current 2023 edition.<\/p>\n

Participants must present an original work at the Congress and be members of the AEEE. Applications from young researchers who appear as the sole author is a plus. The Scientific Committee will make all decisions according to criteria of quality and relevance within the field of Energy Economics. To participate in the Awards, young researchers must state this intention in the congress registration form and have to register.<\/p>\n

The Awards consist of a \u201cRed El\u00e9ctrica Special Prize\u201d (\u20ac1,000), two second prizes (\u20ac500 each) and three travel bags to attend the Congress (\u20ac300 each) for different people. 19% will be subtracted from these gross amounts as personal income tax withholding. If none of the proposals reach the quality required by the Committee, then the Awards may be declared void.<\/p>\n<\/div>
